Problem:
Hair donation supports children and patients worldwide who lose their hair due to medical treatments. Millions experience hair loss each year, yet the donation process remains fragmented and outdated. Many organizations struggle to balance trust, accessibility, and sustainable funding.

Solution:
loop is a hair care brand embedded with a donation program.
It turns hair donation into a designed system of care, linking donors, salons, and recipients. The project explores the combination of a profit-based brand and a non-profit charity ecosystem.

Overview

I created the system called hybrid social brand that runs the hair donation program and also creates revenue from hair care product. During the hair donation procress, donation kit and thank you kit is given to enhance the experience of the donor.

Brand Elements & Voice

Hair donation organizations accept all hair textures, including straight, wavy, curly, coily, and kinky hair. To celebrate this diversity, patterns inspired by each hair type are applied throughout the visual system.

Hair Care Brand

A line of hair care products designed to support the donation system. Revenue from product sales helps sustain wig production and expand access to more children in need.

Donation Kit
The kit guides donors through a hands-on giving experience while reinforcing transparency and inviting continued engagement through products, digital tracking, and community involvement. Donors will order the kit before making donation for free.

Thank You Kit
The Thank You Kit is designed to close the emotional gap between donation and impact. Many donation systems end after the hair is sent. loop reintroduces connection by acknowledging the donor and making the process visible.

Website

This website was designed to make the donation process clear, accessible, and continuous.

Showcase

The project was displayed at the senior show, where I had the opportunity to share my concept with the audience.
